The entrance to the tool library is located in the back of the building at 921 E. 8th St. There is limited parking available in back for customer use. Parking is also located on the street on 8th and Indiana. Please do not park in the parking lot for Nikki’s or any other business.

The idea is simple, for a small yearly fee, you are given the ability to check out the tools that you need. You get to take them home for a week or two and then bring them back for another member to use.

We aim to be a community resource. If you are unable to afford a membership, we have scholarships available that are sponsored by other members. Come on in and we can figure out something for you!

Yes! Our online inventory allows you to reserve ahead of time.

We know that sometimes we all get busy and can’t return a tool right away. However, if a tool is not returned, we reserve the right to charge the replacement cost for that item so that our members can continue to have access to that tool.

If you have a just a couple of items to donate, just come on by the Tool Library during our open hours. Check us out and donate at the same time! If you have a large number of tools you would like to donate, send us a message at siouxfallstoollibrary@gmail.com and we can discuss.

We are a 501c3 organization so all donations are monetary donations are tax deductible. We currently operate under a fiduciary agreement with a sponsor organization, the Beverly Ann Miller Foundation which serves to hold our funds in trust. (84-4479011)
